MacEmulate Information and Specifications

MacEmulate is a full-featured terminal emulator and communications software for the Macintosh. You can use your Macintosh in place of a terminal. MacEmulate allows you to access multi-user computers by turning your Mac into one of many popular terminals. Use it in place of a "dumb terminal" to establish the valuable link to your multi-user business computer. MacEmulate is very fast, easy to use, and gives you more capabilities than a real terminal. It is the best way to get the most out of your Mac and your business system. If you like using your Macintosh, you will enjoy using MacEmulate.

MacEmulate was first released in 1990. It was one of the first applications to provide a wide variety of terminal types that were not yet available for Macintosh. It runs very fast, and works on all Macs running OSX 10.2 or higher. An older version (4.0) is available for running on pre-OSX systems, which will support MacOS 7.0 thru 9.2, using a MacPlus computer or better.

The strength of MacEmulate is with its wide selection of full-featured emulations. Advanced terminal features, such as host printing to the Macintosh printer, are very robust and flexible.
