Some users have noticed that occasionally the connection settings for the InterTCP telnet tool get erased each time you start MacEmulate. This is a bug in the InterTCP tool that occurs randomly, and there is no pattern or apparant cause. However, once it begins happening, it will continue indefinitely.
Fortunately, we have found a solution that fixes the problem: The steps below reset the InterTCP tool.
- Choose Connection from the Settings menu in MacEmulate to display the Connection Settings window.
- From the Connection Method pop up list, select any other connection method, other than InterTCP. Usually, the Serial Tool is a good choice. Important: Do not make any changes to the default settings of the new tool have selected.
- Close the Connection Settings window by clicking the Ok button.
- Again, choose Connection from the Settings menu in MacEmulate to display the Connection Settings window.
- From the Connection Method pop up list, select InterTCP. Important: Do not make any changes to the InterTCP settings just yet. You will do that later.
- Close the Connection Settings window by clicking the Ok button. You should have not yet made any changes to the other settings. Just close window leaving the default settings in place.
- Once again, choose Connection from the Settings menu in MacEmulate to display the Connection Settings window.
- Now you may enter the settings for the InterTCP tool that you require to make your connection.

- Choose Save Settings from the File menu.
If you do not have any other connection methods to select in step #2 above, you can download a Serial Tool, and place it in the Extensions folder, which is inside the System Folder.
